Mama is back with a third culinary masterpiece for the Nintendo DS, marked for release this holiday season! Majesco Entertainment is focused on publishing titles they already have and Cooking Mama is a franchise none can deny after 4 million units were sold domestically.
Mama has already been in the kitchen with Cooking Mama and Cooking Mama 2: Dinner with Friends for the DS and Cooking Mama: Cook Off and Cooking Mama: World Kitchen, for the Wii. The concept of the game has grown over the years, adding more recipes and utensils, more colors, cuteness and the occasional frustration to the game play.
With the new release, players will get to work with 80 new recipes and have the ability to cook with up to three friends over the multi-player option. Players will be able to combine dishes to create new works and perhaps the game's best new design, going to the market to purchase ingredients needed for Mama's recipes! Cooking Mama has kept consistently good reviews, nothing groundbreaking in video game technology, but it has captured the hearts of many gamers who obsess over the little details and the need to complete all tasks given to them with a 100%. I love Cooking Mama, thanks to my chef sister. I was unconvinced of its addictiveness when she first got me to play it, but after three hours and still unwilling to give the DS back to her, I became a fan of Mama.
