Default Classic video game movie?

How funny would it be to have one of our childhood games from the arcades, where there is NO plot... become a movie.

I'm talking like, Asteroids, Centipede, Pac-Man....

Think along those lines and try to pick the most absurd arcade/atari game to be turned into a movie.

How much "no plot" is there?

SMB has a pretty weak plot. There's a chick, in a castle. Go get her.

But if we're talking even more basic than that... then I would have to say the best classic game turned movie, would be Adventure. For the Atari.

The movie opens, with Man (his name is never heard) coming through the door into a cave. He runs around the cave with shit constantly flying at him. Then he finds a key, on a pedestal, and then takes the key to a rock with a key-shaped hole in it, and it opens a cave that was the same color as they key.

Oh, and there would be dragons phazing through time-space all around him.

And at the end, he gets a thing. We don't know what it is. It's just a thing. It could even be shiny.

Then the credits roll.

Starring Michael Cera as "Man", and the voice of Alan Rickman as the dragons that phase through time-space.

Oh my god, you are a genius.

Truly, genius.

I'd support this movie. But I have to say, if the thing isn't shiny, I foresee no producer signing on.
