Famous for his conception art of the video game, Final Fantasy, Yoshitaka Amano will be attending the NEW PEOPLE studios in San Francisco, California. He will be at the Superfrog Gallery on the third floor with his most current exhibition, DEVA LOKA. The work is an ode to his childhood love of American comics and automobiles, the pieces coated in auto paint and doused with metallic glitter.
Yoshitaka will have a panel discussion on August 15, 2009 at 12:00, with a limited autograph signing session from 4:00 to 5:00. Due to his restricted time, the first fifty customers to purchase Yoshitaka's book or t-shirt from the NEW PEOPLE store will be the ones to receive a signing from the artist.
Yoshitaka Amano is also known for his work on Vampire Hunter D, Science Ninja Team Gatchaman, and for providing his artistic abilities to Neil Gaiman's story, The Sandman: The Dream Hunters. His exhibition will remain at the gallery from August 15th until October 25th.
